While some of their children are currently undergoing diagnoses, Danielle shares how her own experience has been a journey of finding the right medication and learning strategies that help her manage her daily life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor me, finding the right medicine has taken years,\u201d Danielle explains, \u201cbut I\u2019ve also had to teach myself tips and tricks that work for me.\u201d One of the simple yet effective methods she\u2019s found is removing distractions\u2014like putting her phone across the room. \u201cIf it\u2019s in my hand, I will look at it and get lost in those notifications. You can\u2019t hold it in your hand and expect to get other things done.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Embracing the Gifts of ADHD<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>ADHD isn\u2019t just about managing challenges; it also comes with its own set of gifts. One of the key gifts that Danielle highlights is creativity. \u201cThe creativity and ability to switch between ideas and dream up things\u2014and then make them happen\u2014is the beauty of ADHD,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, accepting these gifts can take time. Danielle admits that she still struggles with the lifelong shame of being late or missing appointments. \u201cI have time blindness,\u201d she says. \u201cIt\u2019s not that I disrespect other people; my brain just doesn\u2019t work that way.\u201d Overcoming these feelings of shame and reframing ADHD as a set of strengths rather than weaknesses has been a significant part of Danielle\u2019s journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supporting Children with ADHD: Conversations Around the House<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With both Danielle and her husband having ADHD, their children are naturally influenced by it too. Danielle emphasizes the importance of normalizing ADHD and shifting the narrative to show that it\u2019s not something to be ashamed of. \u201cWe talk to our kids about it all the time. We\u2019ve been there too, and look what we\u2019ve built. You can have everything you want, you just need to figure out what works for you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This open conversation creates a supportive environment where their children don\u2019t feel isolated in their struggles. Danielle also recalls an interaction during a field day at her daughter\u2019s school where a child with special needs was labeled \u201cdifferent.\u201d Danielle responded, \u201cWe all have special needs. Every single person learns differently, has different needs. It doesn\u2019t have to be such a stigma.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strategies for ADHD Success<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the years, Danielle has discovered several strategies that help her manage ADHD while balancing life and business. Here are a few:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Put Away Distractions:<\/strong> One simple yet effective strategy Danielle uses is putting her phone across the room. However, she has found that systems and processes are crucial to keeping her on track. \u201cProcesses are really important,\u201d she says, \u201cespecially when you\u2019re trying to juggle the demands of running a business and managing ADHD.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most \u201cunsexy\u201d yet impactful processes Danielle has implemented is optimizing her website\u2019s functionality. \u201cI\u2019ve learned that making a website user-friendly and optimizing it for SEO can have a huge impact on my business,\u201d she says. By focusing on user experience and keeping her website functional, Danielle\u2019s business continues to grow through increased online visibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Final Thoughts: Overcoming Challenges and Finding Success with ADHD<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Living with ADHD presents a unique set of challenges, but as Danielle shares, it also offers unique gifts and opportunities.
