Ask any woman, or man for that matter, their thoughts on denim, and they\u2019ll probably tell you that few things in life are better than a good pair of jeans. We couldn\u2019t agree more, which is why we\u2019re super excited to introduce you to Kimes Ranch Jeans (KRJ). Although we probably aren\u2019t actually the first to tell you about KRJ–their jeans, caps, tees, and hoodies are worn by some of the western world\u2019s greatest athletes, to the most fabulous fashionistas.<\/span><\/p>\n

We got to learn more about the KRJ brand from the company\u2019s President, Amanda Kimes. She and her husband Matt had a dream to create the jean that was missing from the western world. They wanted something that lasted longer than what was available and still looked great, even after years of use. <\/span><\/p>\n

These kinds of stories are our favorite to share, because it shows that any kind of dream can become a reality! Settle in and enjoy getting to know a little bit more about this game-changing brand! <\/span><\/p>\n

When was your brand was founded? <\/b>
\n<\/b>Formerly Longhorn Jean Company until 2013. We then rebranded and relaunched as Kimes Ranch in 2014.<\/span><\/p>\n

What are the primary products you sell? <\/b>
\n<\/b>Denim is the core of our business; however, we do create great caps, tees, and hoodies and this fall have launched our first outerwear pieces for men and women. Our denim is manufactured in Los Angeles our Brand HQ is in Scottsdale Arizona.<\/span><\/p>\n

Your brand\u2019s style in two words? <\/b>
\n<\/b>Western Uncomplicated<\/span><\/p>\n

Who are your ideal customers? <\/b>
\n<\/b>Those that live the Western lifestyle, be that riders, farmers, ranchers or western fashion mavens. We make a quality product that fits to flatter but is made to work. Form and function are the key elements to our jeans but every consideration is made so they look and feel great for work or a night on the town.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Kimes<\/a>Are their certain parts of the country or globe where your brand is far reaching? <\/b>
\n<\/b>As our denim is made in America we are particularly popular amongst our American fan base. Our classic appeal has been far-reaching though with a surge in popularity in Europe in and out of the horse world.<\/span><\/p>\n

What are some of the biggest fashion trends you\u2019re anticipating to see at this year\u2019s NFR? <\/b>
\n<\/b>We are expecting to see a lot of Black denim and Skinny Jeans. Shredded denim is very in, and we are expecting to see some of that hitting NFR.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re an NFR veteran, what\u2019s one thing you\u2019d recommend a Vegas -rookie to make time for while they\u2019re in town? \u00a0<\/b>
\n<\/b>Oh man! There are so many great things to see and do…For sure go to the Rodeo, at least 1 night. Bring an extra suitcase, and go shopping!<\/span><\/p>\n

Do you work with bloggers or influencers? If so, what do you look for in an influencer or blogger before working with them, and what kind of expectations do you have in a collaboration\/partnership? <\/b>
\n<\/b>We work with a great group of Bloggers and Influencers we are continually trying to add new content to our blog and get our product into the hands of the right influencers. Before choosing bloggers and influencers we take a look at their social media, does it represent our values, style and look? If so we usually start them as a guest blogger or influencer before we sign them for anything long term.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Kimes<\/a>What was life like before you created this brand? How did you get inspired to start? <\/b>
\n<\/b>Before the brand, I always felt like we were searching for something. We wanted to create a brand, something that would grow bigger than us.<\/span><\/p>\n

What tips do you wish someone would have shared with you as a new entrepreneur? <\/b>Just do it. Don\u2019t wait for perfect timing–there is no perfect timing. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s been the highlight of your career so far? <\/b>
\n<\/b>Every day is better than the previous. We are learning every day and growing. It has been amazing.<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s in your closet? \u00a0Do you have a go-to style? <\/b>
\n<\/b>Boots! I love to style skinny jeans with great boots. <\/span>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Who\u2019s been your brand role models – both in business and in style? \u00a0<\/b>
\n<\/b>We love brands and fashion that are simple. Simple and Iconic.<\/span> \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

\"Kimes<\/a>What scares you the most in life or business? <\/b>
\n<\/b>We don\u2019t have too many fears. We use fear to fuel our fire. If it scares us, we tend to run towards it.<\/span><\/p>\n

More importantly, dark or milk chocolate? <\/b>
\n<\/b>Dark<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s your favorite season to design for? <\/b>
\n<\/b>Fall–I love layers!<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s been the best marketing decision you\u2019ve made to grow your brand? <\/b>
\n<\/b>With our relaunch in 2014, we completely refocused on the brand and it\u00a0being more than just a product. What did the company mean to us? What should it mean for our customers? When you focus on more than just trying to make money at something that\u2019s when the magic happens. People understand they are part of something bigger when they buy our products. We started to show who we really were as a company and our culture started to attract the customers.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you dressed a celebrity daily – who would it be? <\/b>
\n<\/b>We all bring our own influences to the brand and I think that combination is what makes it unique. Mine would be Jennifer Lawrence she is the perfect amount of funny, flirty and sophisticated. Matt\u2019s would be Steve McQueen he loves the history of denim and bringing those features back with a modern feel. Lindsay\u2019s would be Kate Moss, classic with an edge.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Kimes<\/a>What\u2019s next for your brand? Any big surprises or new designs you\u2019re excited about? <\/b>
\n<\/b>We have so many new jeans coming. Some really fun fashion-forward pieces and the long-anticipated trouser jean! We are growing our line and it has been so fun!<\/span><\/p>\n

The trend in denim is moving from over processed over embellished denim to classic, quality, great fitting jeans. We are proud to have been leading this trend for the last 4 years. Our goal is to make our customers feel amazing in our product and that they wear our horns as a stamp of pride. When they wear their KRJ\u2019s or they see others wearing them they know that they share more than just good taste. Kimes Ranch is about community, the joining of a group of people that work hard and play hard, that care about their fellow members of the western community, and that believe in quality over quantity.
